The Glenorchy Hotel is a classic kiwi country-style hotel offering good, old-fashioned hospitality at the head of Lake Wakatipu. Only a 30 - 35 minute scenic drive from Queenstown. We have regular "live music" - contact us for the next date.
Accommodation: The ideal venue to enjoy the comforts of one of our warm and relaxing rooms, ensuite bedrooms plus share facilities rooms. We also have backpacker accommodation adjacent to the hotel in the Glenorchy Backpackers Retreat - self contained cottage and cabin. We have wireless internet and complimentary car parking & luggage storage.
Cafe / Restaurant: Our rustic restaurant "The Bonnie Jean" is renowned for its a la carte dinners serving a selection from the rivers to the alps. Indulge in a romantic dinner by our stone fire on those cooler evenings, or dine on our terrace deck, soaking up the last of the days sun. The hotel is open for country style breakfasts, morning and afternoon teas and fabulous coffees. Or treat yourself to lunch on the terrace in our sheltered garden with stunning views to Mount Earnslaw. You can choose from our all day menu or have a light lunch from our cafe counter.
Garden, terrace and bar areas: Enjoy a glass or handle on the terrace from our full selection of wines, beers and spirits.
Information Centre and Activity Booking Office: "The Place" for track, weather and activity information. The staff in our on-site centre are locals and have a wealth of knowledge about the area. They will able to help you with local bookings for activities and transport or answer any question you may have.
Activities and Attractions: Great fishing, hiking, funyaks, skydiving, jetboating, horse trekking, hunting, kayaking, 4 x 4 and farm tours, lake cruises, aside from the magnificent photo opportunities.
Shop and Bottle Store: On-site store offering groceries, souvenirs, basic tramping and fishing supplies, wines, beers and spirits and those forgotten amenities.
For Hire: Fishing rods, Mountain Bikes and DVD''s for hire.
We cater for large groups, tours and functions.
